Teacher's Day ( English Essay)

Teacher's Day

'A good Teacher is like a Candle.

It consumes itself to light the way for others.'

Our teacher is the deity who gives the right turn to the car of life after our first guru, the parents.

The Guru-Shishya tradition is an integral part of Indian culture. Teachers have been respected and important in our country since ancient times. September 5 is celebrated as Teacher's Day in our country. On the occasion of Former President of India Dr.  Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's birthday. This day is celebrated as Teacher's Day to pay respect and glorify the teacher.

Teachers have an important place in each of our lives. There is a special respect for teachers in the society. Teachers have made a valuable contribution in nation building. The journey that started with the teachers after going to school after stepping out of the safe environment at home continues till we stand on our own feet with dignity. Teachers teach us to swim in the ocean of knowledge by removing the fears in our minds and filling our eyes with confidence.

It starts with A, B, C, D and continues till success in our life. The future of any country is in the hands of the teachers of that country. Teachers are responsible for creating a bright generation for the country by producing many students like doctors, scientists, engineers, lawyers, police, writers, innovative Farmer who are needed for the betterment of the country. Similarly, teachers are creating a powerful and receptive generation for the country.

After the parents, only the teachers understand us and impart new knowledge. Our teachers are a big part of  our  life. In addition to imparting knowledge to us, our teachers play an important role in shaping our personality, in making us receptive, in disciplining us. Our teachers teach us to stand up to the world with confidence by enriching ourselves with all the virtues.

Teachers Day is celebrated to understand the importance of teachers in our lives. In many schools, colleges students pay their respects to the teachers by giving them flowers, bouquets, gifts and gift cards. In addition, various cultural events are organized. Students express concerns about teachers. In many places, students become teachers themselves on Teacher's Day and play the role of enlightenment.

This teacher-students relationship is sacred. Teachers are like parents after parents. Times have changed, new tools have come, but the importance of Gurus and Teachers is not diminishing and will not be. No one can take the place of the teacher in the mind of every student.

September 5th is a day to express our gratitude to our teachers who shaped us and enlightened us. We cannot be free from the debt of our teachers, but on the occasion of this Teacher's Day, let us remain indebted to them and glorify and respect their work.

 Thank you...
